What is the RAC181 tool?

The FAR RAC181 Riveter is a hydro-pneumatic tool perfect for use with blind rivets from 2.4mm up to 5.0mm in steel and stainless steel and up to 6.0mm in aluminium. It will also set 3/16″ FarBolt, Magna-Lok and Monobolt applications.

All standard POP rivet nosepieces are sold complete with this tool. The FAR RAC181 is a Heavy Duty Tool which is perfect for high volume production due to its light weight structure and operator friendly design.

Topping up oil in hydraulic circuit is necessary after a long period of work when there is a reduction of the riveter stroke

How do you reprime you RAC181?

1.    Take the tool off the air line

2.    With the tool standing vertically, remove the cap using the Allen

       wrench 4mm

3.    Screw the oil container into the cap

4.     Insert the air line

5.    Press the trigger several times until the riveter ends to make

       bubbles from the oil container

·         Rotating the tool whilst doing this can help the tool disperse the oil

          more efficiently throughout the tool

·         Wait until no air bubbles are visible in the pump when pressing the

          trigger

6.    Screw the cap back into place using your allen wrench 4mm

…and your tool is reprimed and ready for use 🙂
